So you are going to start using video in your real estate business. Great! Do you have a plan? Specifically, do you have a real estate video plan?
Real Estate Video isn’t like “field of dreams” ya know, just because you build it does NOT mean they will come. Which means you need a real estate video plan. A real estate video plan will save you a lot of time and money and it will actually make you more money because you won’t be making crappy real estate videos like those other real real estate agents that don’t have a real estate video plan.
I saw a real estate video the other day. It was comical and yet so real. Real BAD. It was of a real estate agent using video like direct mail. With direct mail, most real estate agents use the “spray and pray” model. Make a marketing piece and then send it to anyone and everyone in the hopes that it lands on someone that has a real estate need at the point in time. That won’t work with real estate video because consumers are searching online for what THEY want or at least, what they think they do.
I could tell the real estate agent didn’t have a real estate video plan because his real estate video was all over the map. He started talking to consumer X and then switched to consumer Y and then to investor A and then – well you get the point. It was obvious he did not know WHO he was talking to or WHAT was important to them or WHY he was the solution to their problem or WHY they should choose him. He didn’t know this so, while I am sure he had the best intentions, he ended up making a “talking head” video. No value, no images, co visual calls to action to nothing – but him. NO ONE likes talking heads. So in today’s video I want to discuss your real estate video plan and in the event you don’t have one of your own – HOW you can begin to formulate one.
