NEW YouTube Features Help You Grow Your Real Estate Business

New YouTube Features 2012

YouTube. My best friend. Why you ask? Well, YouTube would be your best friend as well if 50% of all you leads came from it – right? While many real estate agents waste their time with social media (and I mean that – way to many real estate agents waste their time) using social media {facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc} the wrong way, I am creating videos of value for my ideal client – YOU – to help you find me online when you have a need.

If you have been to our Phoenix real estate marketing classes you have heard me talk about the value of using video in your real estate business. I won’t go into that here just know that you will be using video in real estate or you will be irrelevant. Why? Because not only do consumers prefer video, it is such a better communication medium than pictures or text can ever be. If you were looking at buying a home would you prefer 25 pictures of a home or HD Real Estate Video? It all starts with making videos of value. Value to your ideal client – not you. I joke, but I unfortunately mean it – why you are a great real estate agent is not necessarily of value, why your brokerage is #1 is not necessarily of value, an introduction of your team or your production is not necessarily of value. Yes, these things may be of value to YOU but they are not of value to the consumer. They don’t care. They don’t care because you have not given them a reason to care.

But, you can get found online, where 98% of consumers start their homes search and you can grow your real estate business by using real estate video. When I say video I am talking about YouTube. YouTube is the 800lb gorilla when it comes to video hosting platforms. While you may have heard of Vimeo, Vidler, Daily Motion, Meta Cafe, there are actually HUNDREDS of them, but YouTube, with its 58% market share is by FAR the biggest and certainly the best {my opinion} as it is the worlds 2nd largest search engine – behind Google – and owned by Google.

Since I have started using video in my business I have seen YouTube make a series of upgrades. These upgraded come in the form of new features. There was the better channel layout, improved analytics, the ability to load videos over 10 minutes and much much more. YouTube’s latest features, like the others, are great – not only great, these latest features can help you brand yourself and your videos as well as drive traffic to your other videos. I explain below.

There are many benefits of using video in your real estate business. YouTube’s new features will help you brand your videos, control your images and drive traffic to other videos. The longer a consumer watches your real estate videos the easier and more likely it is you can convert them to a client.
