Real Estate Photography
It amazes me how bad some of the real estate photos and videos really are. Not because they were taken at the wrong exposure {under or over exposed} or at the wrong angle, they were bad {in part} because the real estate agent was too damn lazy to move the garbage can or the pile of trash from in front of the house, or move the cat from the bed or even the sleeping KID! Some of the pictures and real estate videos I found were of walls so stained they looked like they were painted black, when they were clearly white – at one time.
This is one extreme, the other is using the wrong camera. Let me tell you right now – if I was selling my home and you – my agent – showed up to take photos or video with an iPhone or iPad camera that are often not formatted or show no depth of field – you are fired. We have already discussed how many consumers see a real estate agent as a commodity. Many REALTORS® even have the same language – “Search The MLS Like A REALTOR!” If I was selling my home I would want a REALTOR that takes pictures and video that really show off the look and feel of my home. Pictures and video better than I could do on my own. I know consumers want to see photos and video of homes. Good real estate photos and video can help buyers feel like they are actually there. Good photos and video of a home can help a consumer mentally move in.
As part of my value proposition or Unique Selling Proposition to my real estate clients, I help them with WordPress {self hosted}, HD Real Estate Video, Indexable IDX, Content, Real Estate Marketing Classes and more. I have recently added another value to my offering. Real Estate Photography and Videography {to some degree}.
I know that many real estate agents do not have the equipment or time to shoot Real Estate Photography and Videography, some tools are very expensive. They may not have the tools or the time – but I do. I spend my days working with select real estate agents. For luxury properties my real estate clients list I often shoot the video tour of the property. I am now also including 10-25 photos of the property as well. Some will be HDR or High Dynamic Range. Below is a video I shot for a client as well of photos of the property.

Today, leads go to the best marketers, not necessarily the best REALTORS®. My clients get leads. Between the WordPress websites we build, the Indexable IDX for WordPress we created, the ongoing training on content and HUB Marketing, the HD video and now photography, why would a REALTOR® in Phoenix go anywhere else?
In a world where a real estate agent is often a commodity, your real estate marketing can help you differentiate yourself and your business from your competition. If you were a seller, would you prefer a REALTOR® that will take pictures or video with an iPhone or iPad or an agent that uses DSLR technology, wide angle lenses and video?
