Real Estate Content | How To Get “Found” Online

Real Estate Blog ContentYou’ve heard it said before, “content is king”, but what does that really mean? When it comes to growing your real estate business not many tools are as efficient, as successful as engaging as a website and unique, engaging, keyword rich, valuable content.

You know from your own behavior that when you need something – anything – you [most likely] go to the Internet. Not just the Internet, you most likely go to something called a search engine, like Google. Looking for a new pair of tires at a good price – Google. Looking for things to do on the weekend with the family – Google. Looking for what happened yesterday in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya – Google. Looking for a 4 bedroom 2 bath home with wood floors, a pool and a 3 car garage – yep – Google. Google is most likely where you and your clients go when they are looking for information. Consumers [you included] usually ask a search engine like Google a question for 2 reasons:

  • Gather Information
  • Solve A Problem

This is where your clients [past, present and future] go as well. Getting “found” online at the exact moment a consumer has identified a need for your product or service is the preferred method of growing a real estate business for thousands of forward thinking real estate professionals. Yes, direct mail, door knocking and cold calls work [to some degree] but these marketing methods rely on a future need. A well written and optimized article on a good real estate website will hang around for years – just waiting for someone to find it. I talk to real estate agents all the time about the importance of having a website, not just a website but a good rel estate website that works – like WordPress. Some of the objections I run into include

  • No time
  • no knowledge
  • not interested
  • too hard
  • doesn’t work

A website will work for you if you work for it. Period. Every day I get comments, calls, inquiries on this website from Real Estate agents, REALTORS®, title rep’s, title companies, attorneys and consumers looking to gather information or solve a problem. How are they finding me? My Content. My content is blog posts, pictures, video’s and ebooks. Not just my content but my unique, engaging, keyword rich, valuable content. [there are many other factors involved in SEO but it starts with content]

I want to help you get “found” online as well. I keep hearing the same objections [listed above], specifically, “I don’t know what to write about”. This is one of the reasons why we  Grand Canyon Title are introducing a series of real estate marketing classes for REALTORS® in Phoenix to SHOW you the HOW TO.  Our real estate marketing classes include

  • WordPress for real estate
  • Content writing for REALTORS®
  • Creating engaging content
  • SEO basics/Keyword research
  • HUB Marketing
  • How to use video in real estate I
  • How to use video in real estate II
  • How to use video in real estate III
  • Video editing
  • Video optimization
  • Video Syndication
  • Chroma Key {Green Screen}
  • and more

We will help you identify your ideal client and what they look for online. We will show you how to get “found” online and we will help you convey your value to consumers. I know – I know, you don’t know what to write or make videos about. Here are some topics to think about:

local market data, subdivision profile, how to choose a REALTOR, local tax credits, national tax credits, MARS, neighborhood profile, how to read a credit report, renting vs buying a home, types of mortgages, home improvements, advice for FSBO’s, How to stage a home, local crime rates, should you rent or buy?, local property taxes, senior housing, rental properties, 2nd homes, home safety tips, new homes, improving curb appeal, trustee sales, credit scores, real estate investing, real estate terms, lending terms, moving tips, what’s a final walk through?, short sales, foreclosure, short sale vs foreclosure, loan modification – real or scam?, short sale legislation, pros and cons of condo life, lots and land, how to choose a title company, commercial real estate terms, vacation homes, local lifestyle info, school info, school test info, teacher student ratio’s and sources of funding – local schools,  how to protest your property valuation, local transportation, YOUR LISTINGS, HAMP and HAFA, 1st time home buyer programs, how to avoid foreclosure, and much – much more.

While many title companies teach classes on the WHY TO, Grand Canyon teaches about the HOW TO. Take a look around the website you are on now and you will see that all of the classes I teach have their roots in this website. We can help you get found online by your ideal client at the exact moment they have a need for your real estate services, all you need to do is make a commitment to your real estate business and COME.
